Abdelkhader Houamel (August 17, 1936 – July 11, 2018) be an Algerian painter.[1] Dem born am insyd N'Gaous, dem consider am he be among de founders of contemporary Algerian painting.[2][3]
Na between 1955 den 1960, Abdelkhader Houamel be active member of de National Liberation Front as part of ein socialist den anti-colonialist beliefs. Insyd 1960, na dem feature Houamei ein work insyd ein first solo exhibition, for de Salon des Arts insyd Tunis. Dey follow dat he begin study for de Academy of Fine Arts insyd Rome. Insyd 1963, he receive a gold medal insyd Arabian art,[4] wey since 1967 he be de subject of chaw international exhibitions.[5] Insyd 1972, na dem decorate Houamei by Former Presido of Algeria, Houari Boumedienne. He live insyd Italy since 1960.
