[edit | edit source]She be former editor for Adom FM, wey be subsidiary of Multimedia Group Limited.[4] For 2013, Afia try to quit Multimedia Group Limited after one misunderstanding wey happen between am den de management.[5]
Insyd October 2019, she resign from de Multimedia Group wey she join UTV, one satellite television station wey Despite Media Group own.[6] Currently, Afia Pokua be de host of Egyaso Gyaso, one popular news analysis program wey dey air for Okay FM on Mondays den Fridays from 7pm to 9:30pm. She sanso dey co-host UTV morning show wey dem dey call Adekye Nsroma.

She win de Radio and Technology Personalities Awards as Radio Female Presenter of de Year 2019-2020.[10]
For 2019, she win Excellence in Media (TV) Awards for de Gold Coast Excellence Awards.[11]
