Its main objective in Gaza is to ensure uniform, consistent and poverty-promoting overlaps and targeting processes, which would allow us to alleviate the suffering of households, integrate human development work and make effective use of resources available. The relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees "UNRWA" has urgently demanded 104 million dollars, in order to enable its multisectoral humanitarian response over the next ninety days. The relief agency said in a statement that these amounts will cover the funds required to meet the urgent food and non-food, health, shelter and protection needs of up to 250,000 people seeking safety in UNRWA shelters throughout the devastated Gaza Strip, in addition to 250,000 Palestine refugees within the local community. She noted that consideration will also be given to the needs of vulnerable groups, which include women, children, people with disabilities and the elderly. "Aid to civilians who have nowhere to flee to must be immediate, and here I mean water, food and medicine," said UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini.

During the first days, UNRWA worked to provide many supplies and worked to transform schools into shelters and worked to provide hundreds of sleeping bags in addition to providing many medical equipment that were present inside the Gaza Strip.
