Andrews Kwabla Puplampu (1919–1984) be Ghanaian lawyer,[1] politician den education man. He be member of parliament for Ada constituency from 1956 go 1966.[2] From 1960 go 1965, he serve as deputy minister for Foreign Affairs,[3] den from 1965 go 1966, he be Minister for Lands. Before he enter politics, he be lawyer.[2]
Early life den education
[edit | edit source]Dem born Puplampuem on 11 November 1919 for Gold Coast. He do ein secondary school for Presbyterian Secondary School for Krobo Odumase (wey now be Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School, Legon).[4][5]
Career
[edit | edit source]Insyd 1944, Puplampu start teach for Presbyterian Primary School for Big Ada. Later inside dat same year, he join de teaching staff of Royal Collegiate School for Accra. For April 1945, he turn second division clerk insyd de civil service but he resign for December 1950. Then for 1951, he go United Kingdom go learn law, den he return 1954 come practice as barrister plus solicitor for Accra.[6][7]
Politics
[edit | edit source]Puplampu enter parliament for July 1956 represent Ada constituency under Convention People's Party.[8][9] He stay insyd parliament till February 1966. While he dey parliament, dem appoint am deputy minister for Foreign Affairs.[10][11] from 1 July 1960 go 1 February 1965, then from there he turn Minister for Lands.[12] He hold dis position till 24 February 1966 wey dem overthrow Nkrumah ein government.
Death
