De Ankos Festival (dem sanso know as Takoradi street carnival anaa Masquerade Festival) be an annual event wey be celebrated by de people of Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana. Ein main attraction be dozens of groups of people anaa teams dressing insyd wild outfits wey display dema skills den arts via dance. De festival usually be celebrated from 24–26 December of every year, wey e be popular plus tourists.[1][2]

De festival dey consist of different gender groups wey dey join from various walks of life. E dey involve de young den de old wey be much passionate about de culture den art during dis festive moment. Dema fancy outfit give de festival dey vary from one group to anoda. During de festival de brass band team play all kind of sounds, songs, melodies den tunes to spice up de festivity den sanso dey increase de excitement of various participant den watchers of de event wey stand across de road, rooftops den balcony.[5][6]

De Year of Return

Na de Year of Return be to mark de return of black people from de diaspora to meet den learn about Ghanaian culture den partake insyd local traditions den so forth. Na de Year of Return get a massive impact on de Masquerade festival secof e get a lot of tourists, de majority be black people from de diaspora dey troop into Takoradi to celebrate de festival.[7][8]
