Anthony Seibu Alec Abban be Ghanaian teacher plus politician. He be member of parliament during de first republic. He first serve as member of parliament for Ajumako-Asikuma electoral district from 1954 to 1965. For 1965, dem split de constituency, den he come serve as member of parliament representing de Ajumako electoral area. He be deputy minister under different portfolios during de first republic. For de third republic, he be member of de People's National Party, de party wey win de 1979 general election. Abban be trained teacher, den before he enter politics, he teach for different schools insyd de then Gold Coast.

Early life den education

Dem born Abban on 4 June 1928. He take ein early education for Ajumako Methodist School. He continue go Mfantsipim School where he pass ein London Matriculation Examination for 1948. He go further to Wesley College for Kumasi where he obtain ein Teacher's Certificate 'A'.[1]

Career den politics

Before he enter politics, Abban teach for schools wey dey Winneba plus Odoben, all insyd de Central Region of Ghana. For 1954, Abban get elect as member of de Legislative Assembly for Ajumako-Asikuma.[1] While he dey parliament, he serve as deputy minister for different ministries, some of dem include de Ministry of Industry plus de Ministry of Agriculture.[2][3] For 1965, he become member of parliament for Ajumako when dem split ein constituency. He serve for dis position until 1966 when dem overthrow de Nkrumah government.[4]

During de Third Republic, Abban join de People's National Party den be one of de party's top bureaucrats.[5]

Death

Abban die on 2 October 1985, aged 57.[6]
