Aprapransa, dem originally call 'akplijii' (anaa 'akplidzi') be a Ghanaian Ga-Dangme (anaa Ga) dish dem prepare by heat mixing (anaa blending) roasted corn flour plus palm nut soup.
Palm Nut Soup be an important base ingredient insyd de preparation of Akplijii, wich be an ancient sacred soup of de Ga-Dangme people wey e always be prepared as a complement to anoda sacred corn flour meal dem call Kpokpoi (anaa Kpekpele) during an Ancient Religious Hebraic Harvest Festival dem call Homowo. De Ga-Dangme people bring dese practices along plus dem to Ancient Ghana wey dem teach all de tribes how to prepare Palm Nut Soup. Outside Ghana, oda tribes insyd Nigeria such as de Yorubas, Igbos get a variation of palm nut soup dem call Banga Soup. Over de course of time, de knowledge of de preparation of Palm Nut Soup insyd Ghana cam be common wey e loose ein sacred status.
De Ga-Dangme people from ancient time to present day, use de palm tree insyd a number of sacred ways; namely, to prepare Palm Nut Soup, de burning of de dry figs as incense for spiritual cleansing, den to ward-off evil spirits, to build new houses every year dem make up of new palm tree branches.

[edit | edit source]De main ingredients be roasted corn flour (Tom brown) den palm nut anaa palm oil. Oda ingredients dey include beans, vegetables such as tomatoes, onion,[6] pepper, ginger, anaa garlic.[7] E dey feature seafood such as smoked fish, dried fish, salted fish anaa crabs.
Roasted corn flour either fi be purchased at Ghanaian markets anaa dem make from plain corn flour insyd a pan.[8]
