Ataxia (from Greek α- [a negative prefix] + -τάξις [order] = "lack of order") be a neurological sign wey dey consist of lack of voluntary coordination of muscle movements wey fi include gait abnormality, speech changes, den abnormalities insyd eye movements, wey dey indicate dysfunction of parts of de nervous system wey coordinate movement, such as de cerebellum.

Dese nervous-system dysfunctions dey occur insyd several different patterns, plus different results den different possible causes. Ataxia fi be limited to one side of de body, wich be referred to as hemiataxia. Friedreich's ataxia get gait abnormality as de most commonly presented symptom. Dystaxia be a mild degree of ataxia.[1]
