Ayoka Olufunmilayo Adebambo be a Nigerian scientist den professor of Animal Breeding den Genetics.[1] She be de first female professor den first Head of de Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics insyd Nigeria.[2][3] Insyd September 2010, na dem award am de status of a Fellow of de Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN).[4]
She get a BSc insyd Animal Science den a PhD insyd Animal Breeding from the University of Ibadan.[5]
Career
[edit | edit source]She start ein career for de University of Ibadan as a demonstrator before she move go de Institute of Agricultural Research and Training of de Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. While at Ile-Ife, na she focus on improving pig breeds for de purpose of commercialization. Insyd 1993, she move go de Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. She currently be a member of de University ein Governing Council.[1] Na she serve as a visiting scholar for de Roslin Institute insyd Scotland; de Poultry Breeding Institute insyd Hessaraghata, India; den Ohio State University insyd de United States.[6]

[edit | edit source]Insyd 2010, she receive de award of Fellow of de Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN) alongsyd oda scientists.[7] Na dem list am insyd Silverbird TV ein 16 prominent Nigerian women insyd Science and Research.[8] Ayoka sanso receive de British Council Award den de Commonwealth Fellowship.[1] She sanso receive a World Bank Research Award, de National Universities Commission Outstanding Research Award, den Egba-Lisabi's Service Award as Role Model to Womanhood.[9]
