Beatrice Elachi be Kenyan politician wey dey serve as member of parliament for Dagoretti North constituency. Before dat, she be be Speaker for Nairobi County Assembly from 6 September 2017 till she resign on 11 August 2020.[1] As Speaker for Nairobi County Assembly, she replace Alex Ole Magelo wey no contest ein seat. Just before dem elect am, she dey serve as Majority Whip for Kenya Senate.[2][3]

After dat, she move go Moi Girls Vokoli High School, for Vihiga County for ein secondary education. She later get admission for Africa Nazarene University wey dey Nairobi, de capital den biggest city for Kenya. She graduate plus Bachelor of Arts degree for Peace and Security Studies. After dat, she still go collect Master of Arts degree for de same subject, sanso from Africa Nazarene University.[4] On top dat one, she still follow Women and Leadership program for de respected European Business University of Luxembourg.[5]

Career before politics

Before 2003, Beatrice work as Programs Officer for United Nations Program for Women (UN Women), togeda plus National Council of Women of Kenya den Collaborative Centre for Gender and Development. She work as trainer for women parliamentarians, togeda plus United Nations Program for Women, from 2003 to 2010. From 2010 till 2013, she serve as Secretary General for Alliance Party of Kenya.

Political career

For 2013, Beatrice Elachi get nomination enter Senate as member of The National Alliance (TNA). She rise reach Majority Chief Whip for Upper Chamber, wey she be de first woman wey serve for dat position, for Kenya parliament history.[6]

For 2017, Beatrice win Jubilee Alliance primary election for Dagoretti North Constituency, for April.[7] Buh for August 2017 general election, she lose give Paul Simba Arati, wey be de incumbent.[8]
