Chereponi be a small town den be de capital of de Chereponi district, a district insyd de North East Region of Ghana.[1][2]

Geographical location

Insyd de North East Region, Chereponi be one of Ghana's border towns to neighbouring Togo. Wonjuga be de village wey de Ghana-Togo border be pitch. E get de Customs, den Immigration Officers stationed on de same plot. From Chereponi, one could enter Togo (Sansanne Mango) anaa Sankansi after crossing de border. Yorgu be de last Ghanaian village wey nestle close to de Comoe River before crossing into Togo.

District Assembly

De Chereponi town be de District Capital of de Chereponi District. E get a district assembly wich dey inaugurate insyd 2008 during de reigns of Hon. Doris Seidu Asibi. Hon Alhaji Mohammed Seidu Issah Abbah serve as de first district chief executive. Following de reigns of Hon Issah Abbah, are four more DCEs. Currently, de district assembly dey head by de District Chief Executive, Hon. Amadu Kofi Sheini hu be barely 8 months old insyd office following ein appointment by President John Dramani Mahama hu emerge as winner of de December 2024 General Elections insyd Ghana.
