Claudine Uwera (wey dem born 27 January 1976) be Rwandan politician den economist. She currently dey serve as “Senior Strategic Advisor” insyd de office of de Prime Minister of de Republic of Rwanda since 9 November, 2024

Before dat appointment, she dey serve as Minister of State insyd de Environment for de Ministry of Environment for Rwanda from 22 August, 2023 reach 16 August, 2024. She sanso previously serve as Minister of State in charge of Economic Planning for de Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning from 6 April 2018 reach 22 August 2023.

From 2015 reach 2018, Claudine Uwera be National Coordinator of de " Rwanda Natural Capital Accounting Program” under “WAVES” wey be global partnership wey World Bank lead as part of de Global Program for Sustainability

Education

Claudine get ein early education insyd Burundi den Rwanda. She go do ein undergraduate studies for National University of Rwanda, wer she get Bachelor degree for Economics for 2001. Later wey she travel go Belgium, wer she study Master’s programme for “Gestion du Développement” for de Faculty of Economics, Social & Management at University of Liège from 2005 reach 2007. From 2008 reach 2013, she pursue ein PhD studies for Economics Department of University of Gothenburg for Sweden, wer she get ein PhD for Environmental Economics.

Claudine Uwera teach for University of Rwanda for de School of Economics for more dan 10 years (2003–2018). She sanso serve as Dean of de School of Economics from 2014 reach 2015. (April 2018 – August 2023).

Political career

At first, Claudine Uwera appoint as Minister of di State wey dey in Charge of Economic Planning. Later, she become Minister of State for di Environment (August 2023 – August 2024). Since 9 November 2024, she dey serve as Senior Strategic Advisor for the Office of the Prime Minister.

Personal life

Claudine Uwera be married and she be mother of three children.
