Edward Ago-Ackam be Ghanaian politician. He be Member of Parliament for Dangbe-Shai electoral area from 1956 go 1965.[1] For 1965, he turn Member of Parliament for Dangbe constituency till February 1966.[2]

Ago-Ackam born on 30 November 1899 insyd Ningo wey dey Greater Accra Region of Ghana (then Gold Coast). He study for Wesleyan Mission School insyd Kpong.[3][4]

Career den politics

Ago-Ackam be clerk plus storekeeper for Messrs Millers, F den A Swanzy A., E.T.C., den U.A.C. from 1921 go 1948. Later he join Messrs A.G. Leventis plus Company Limited from 1949 go 1956. For 1950, he be vice chairman of Convention People's Party, den for 1953 he serve double as chairman of Ningo Area Committee. He hold dis positions till 1956 when CPP nominate am to represent Dangbe Shai electoral area insyd Legislative Assembly.[5] He replace Clarkson Thomas Nylander wey represent Dangbe-Shai area under CPP ticket from 1954 go 1956. From 1956 onwards, Nylander represent Ga Rural electoral area. Ago-Ackam win Dangbe-Shai seat den remain insyd parliament as de area representative from 1956 till 1965.[6] Insyd 1965, dem split de constituency into Dangbe constituency plus Shai constituency. Ago-Ackam turn Member of Parliament for Dangbe constituency from 1965 go February 1966 when dem overthrow de Nkrumah government.
