She receive B.Tech for Agricultural Engineering from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, wey she sanso get Master’s degree for Mechanical Engineering from University of Port Harcourt.^[2]

Ovai hold different positions of responsibility for Rivers State. She serve as de first woman Commissioner of Works for de Executive Council of Rivers State from 2003 reach 2006.^[2] While she dey for office, e be she naa wey oversee (head) de start of several road construction projects for the state, including works on de road wey connect Ogoni, Andoni, den Opobo–Nkoro, wey dem generally call Unity Road, wey de total cost be about ₦11.8 billion.^[1]
