Festus Gontebanye Mogae (born 21 August 1939) be a Motswana politician den economist wey serve as de third Presido of Botswana from 1998 to 2008.[1] He succeed Quett Masire as Presido insyd 1998[2] wey na dem re-elect am insyd October 2004. After ten years insyd office, he step down insyd 2008 wey he be succeeded by Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama.[3]

[edit | edit source]Na Mogae study economics insyd de United Kingdom, first at University College, Oxford, den then at de University of Sussex.[1][3][4] He return to Botswana make work as a civil servant before he take up posts plus de International Monetary Fund den de Bank of Botswana. Na he later then serve as de governor of Bank of Botswana from 1980 to 1981.[5] Na he serve as de Minister of Finance from 1989 to 1998.[6] Na he be de Vice-Pee of Botswana from 1991 to 1998.[3]
