Gilbert Noël Ouédraogo (born 25 December 1968) be a Burkinabé politician who has been President of de Alliance for Democracy and Federation–African Democratic Rally (ADF-RDA),[1][2] a political party insyd Burkina Faso, since 2003. He serve insyd de government of Burkina Faso as Minister of Social Action den National Solidarity from 2000 to 2002 den as Minister of Transport from 2006 to 2013. He be de Fourth Vice-President of de National Assembly of Burkina Faso from 2013 to 2014.

[edit | edit source]Ouédraogo, whose father be Gérard Kango Ouedraogo,[2] insyd Ouagadougou den be a lawyer by profession.[1][2] After standing unsuccessfully insyd de May 1992 parliamentary election as de seventh substitute candidate on de candidate list insyd Houet Province, he become de ADF-RDA ein Secretary of Youth insyd 1994 den then ein Secretary of External Relations insyd 1998. He be appointed to de government as Minister of Social Action den National Solidarity on 12 November 2000. Insyd de May 2002 parliamentary election, he be elected to de National Assembly as an ADF-RDA candidate insyd Nord Region; he no be retained insyd ein ministerial post insyd de government appointed on 10 June 2002, but be elected as de Third Vice-President of de National Assembly. Dem re-elect him to that post insyd June 2003 den June 2004.
Dem elect Ouédraogo as President of de ADF-RDA at de party ein 28–29 June 2003 extraordinary congress, den as de head of de largest opposition party he receive de title of Leader of de Opposition. Insyd March 2004, he be elected by de National Assembly as one of Burkina Faso ein members of de Pan-African Parliament. Insyd de Pan-African Parliament, he become General Rapporteur of de ad hoc Judicial Affairs Commission, den insyd October 2004 he be elected as Vice-President of de West African Regional Group insyd de Pan-African Parliament. Despite being an opposition party, de ADF-RDA support President Blaise Compaoré ein candidacy insyd de November 2005 presidential election; after de election, Compaoré appoint Ouédraogo as Minister of Transport on 6 January 2006.
Insyd de May 2007 parliamentary election, Ouédraogo be again elected to de National Assembly as a candidate on de ADF-RDA ein national list, but he remain a member of de government after de election.
Insyd de December 2012 parliamentary election, he be again elected to de National Assembly. Following de election, the ADF-RDA was not included insyd de government dat was formed on 2 January 2013. Later insyd de same month, he be elected as Fourth Vice-President of de National Assembly.
Ouédraogo den de ADF-RDA support de propose constitutional amendment insyd 2014 dat will have lifted term limits den allowed Compaoré to run for President again. De controversy over de amendment dey result insyd violent protests den de forced resignation of Compaoré on 31 October 2014. Insyd August 2015, Ouédraogo be designated as the ADF-RDA ein candidate for de October 2015 presidential election. However, he be barred from running by de Constitutional Council on 29 August 2015, along plus de leader of de Congress for Democracy den Progress, Eddie Komboïgo, for supporting de removal of term limits.[3][4] For de same reason, he sana be barred from standing as a parliamentary candidate.[5][6]
