Grace Asamoah Agyemang is a public servant and politician from Ghana. Currently, she serves as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma Municipal in the Ashanti Region.[1][2] On 16 May 2025, she made history when she became the first woman to be confirmed for the role since the inception of the municipal assembly.[3] Before she became a government official , she worked as a public servant, where she served as Chief Internal Auditor for the Ghana Education Service (GES).
Ein Early Life den Career
[edit | edit source]Before Grace Asamoah Agyemang entered politics and became part of the local government, she had a strong background in auditing and public administration. She worked as the Chief Internal Auditor for the Ghana Education Service (GES). As Chief Internal Auditor, she checked financial rules and internal controls for one of the biggest public institutions in Ghana.
Grace Asamoah Agyemang entered local government politics through the National Democratic Congress (NDC).She contested in both the 2020 and 2024 Parliamentary elections on the ticket of the NDC making her the first female to do so. Even though she couldn’t win the seat, she recorded the highest tally of votes by an NDC parliamentary candidate or flagbearer in the constituency.Hon Grace is a Christian married with 4 children namely; Nana Serwaah, Enkay, Nana Bonsu and Nana Amma.
