Guilhermina Contreiras da Costa Prata (wey dem born am on 8 May 1952) be Angolan lawyer, politician, den diplomat. She be former member give Angola National Assembly, Minister of Justice, den Vice-president for demma Constitutional Court. Since 2023, she dey serve as de main Ambassador (Extraordinary den Plenipotentiary) give Angola Republic insyd France, Liechtenstein, Monaco, den Switzerland.

Biography

Dem born Prata on 8 May 1952 for Luanda, Angola.[1] She read Law for Agostinho Neto University insyd Luanda, Angola. After dat, she go do Master's degree for Law den Business Sciences for de same school, wey dem collabo do am plus de Law Faculty of de University of Coimbra for Coimbra, Portugal.[2]

For 1985, Prata start ein legal work for de Office of Legal Affairs insyd.[1][3] Wen dem do Angola general election for 1992, dem elect Prata as member give de Angola National Assembly.[1] From 1993 to 1999, she serve as de Secretary give MPLA Parliamentary Group.[1][4] Then from 1996 to 2004, she work as Legal Advisor give de same MPLA Parliamentary Group.[1]

For 1996, Prata join de group wey dem dey call "Working Group to Enhance Women's Representation and Promote the Consideration of Gender Issues Within Parliaments in Southern Africa" make dem fit push women matter den give dem big voice for parliament insyd Southern Africa.[5]

For 2004, dem appoint Prata as Vice-Minister of Justice.[6] For 2005, she announce say dem finish new Penal Code Bill wey e dey ready make de Justice and Law Reform Commission discuss am.[7] For 2006, she push make dem take legal action against drug use for Angola insyd,[8] wey she sanso attend de meeting give Ministers of Justice den Emigration for de Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC).[1]
