Hassan Ayariga (born 4 September 1972) be Ghanaian accountant plus unsuccessful 2016 Ghanaian presidential aspirant. He be de founder of de All People's Congress (APC) den be de presidential candidate for de People's National Convention (PNC) insyd de December 2012 presidential election.[1][2]
Early life den education
[edit | edit source]Ayariga spend ein childhood for Accra den Bawku, but he move go Nigeria plus ein parents after dem overthrow de Limann administration. He attend Ghana Secondary School for Tamale, den later go Barewa College for Zaria, Nigeria, but he no obtain any degree from Barewa. Later, he study accounting for London School of Accountancy, but likewise, he no pursue anaa obtain any degree from der.
Ayariga later attend Atlantic International University, wey be unaccredited university den often describe as degree mill. Dis no be ein only questionable American educational credential — he sanso receive honorary degree from Reagan National University, another institution wey widely report say be fraudulent. Plus, de accrediting body for Reagan National University, de Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, itself lose recognition for United States due to lax standards.[3]
Even though Ayariga dey call himself “Dr.,” he never actually earn any degree from any educational institution wey currently get accreditation from recognized authority for de country where e dey base. After de loss, he allege say electoral misconduct happen, so he lef de PNC to form ein own party, de All People’s Congress (APC), insyd 2016. De Electoral Commission of Ghana give de APC provisional certificate after Ayariga meet all de necessary requirements, den later dem grant am final certificate.[6]
However, secof reported errors wey dey ein nomination paperwork, Ayariga get disqualified from appearing on de ballot for de 2016 Ghanaian general election. In reaction, he launch fresh claims of electoral misconduct, similar to de ones he first talk against de People’s National Convention.[7]
Personal life

Ein younger brother, Mahama Ayariga, be Ghana ein former Minister for Youth and Sports from 2013 to 2015, den currently he be de Member of Parliament for Bawku Central Constituency.[9]
