Ifeoma Mabel Onyemelukwe be Nigerian professor of French den African literature for Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.[1] She dey wrep poetry, short stories, novels, plays, literary criticism den social criticism. She publish 27 books den 162 journals both internationally den locally.[2] For 2019, dem elect her as Fellow of Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL).[3][4]

Early life den education

Onyemelukwe born for Awka, Nigeria. She fini ein Bachelor of Science degree for French at University of Nigeria, Nsukka for 1976. Later she continue ein education plus Post Graduate Diploma in Education for Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for 1982. She no stop der, she go further earn master’s den doctorate for French from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for 1979 den 1987 respectively.[5]

Career

She begin ein career as graduate assistant for Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Advance Teachers' College for 1978.[6] After dat, she work for ABU Zaria Institute of Education between 1992 den 2001. For 2002, she join Department of French insyd Faculty of Arts for ABU, Zaria. She remain der til ein compulsory retirement for 2020.[1]

For ein career, she serve for different leadership positions. She be professor on sabbatical for Department of French at Kaduna State University, Kaduna. She sanso hold Visiting Professor position for French Department of Federal College of Education, Zaria.[6]

Onyemelukwe be Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Consultants den Chartered Institute of Administration. Ein name sanso dey insyd Contemporary Who's Who (2002 till now) den International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women (2002 till now). On October 14, 2015, she give inaugural lecture wey Dr. Alex Ekwueme den plenty oda dignitaries attend.[1]

Personal life

She marry Geoffrey Chukwubuike Onyemelukwe, wey be Consultant Physician den Professor of Medicine den Immunology for Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Dem two get five (5) kiddies.[6][7]
