Isaac Joseph Adomako-Mensah (1908 - 1983) be Ghanaian politician. He be member of parliament for Atwima Amansie constituency from 1954 to 1956 den from 1961 to 1965.[1] For 1965, he turn de member of parliament for Kwanwoma constituency till 1966.

Early life den education

Dem born Adomako-Mensah insyd 1908 for Akrofuom, Assin, Ashanti Region. He start ein early education for St. Peter's School insyd Kumasi and lef de school for 1925 after he pass de Standard Seven Examination. He continue go Achimota Training College wey he complete ein course there for 1929. Later on, he study den pass ein London Matriculation Examination.[2]

Career den politics

Adomako-Mensah start work insyd 1930 as second-class teacher. He teach from dat time reach 1954 wey dem appoint am as Education Secretary for de Kumasi Municipal Council. Dat same year he enter politics and stand for de Atwima Amansie seat under Convention People's Party.[3] He win de seat for de 1954 parliamentary elections den he serve as member of parliament for de constituency from 15 June 1954 till 1956.[4] He lose de 1956 parliamentary elections to Joe Appiah but when Appiah get arrested for 1961 under de Preventive Detention Act, he take back ein former position as member of parliament for Atwima Amansie constituency.[5] For 1965, he turn de member of parliament for de Kanwoma constituency.[6] He remain for dis position till dem overthrow de Nkrumah government for 1966.

Adomako-Mensah plus ein wife Hannah get five kiddies. He get eight more pikin from other women. He die on 23 October 1983.[7]
