He marry de daughter of de late former Vice President Kow Arkaah. She be lawyer too, plus dem get three kiddies—one boy den two girls.[5]

He be de first African wey take part for international parachuting event, den he be member of Ghana National Rifle Association.[7] He later lef go United Kingdom go read law. For 2004, de party select am as parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency make he contest for de 2004 Ghanaian general election, but he lose give Akosua Frema Osei-Opare of de NPP. He be de first General Secretary wey dem re-elect two times for CPP—for 2007 den again for 2011.[15] He be enthusiastic Scuba diver, de first African wey participate for international parachuting event, plus he be member of de Ghana National Rifle Association (GNRA).
2016 Presidential Bid
[edit | edit source]Insyd January 2016, he contest for de Presidential Nomination to represent de CPP, den he win with total vote of 1,288, wey represent 64.2% of de valid votes wey dem cast. Ein closest contender, Samia Nkrumah, wey be daughter of Ghana ein first President Kwame Nkrumah, get only 579 votes.[16][17] Dis victory make am de first physically challenged person wey contest for Presidential election for Ghana.[18] He be de flagbearer for de CPP insyd de 2016 Ghanaian general election. For de end of de election, he lose with 25,552 votes, wey represent 0.24%, as Nana Akufo-Addo come win.[19]
2020 Presidential Bid
[edit | edit source]Dem re-elect am as flagbearer for de Convention People's Party (CPP) for de 2020 general elections.[20] For October 2020, he choose Professor Emmanuel Bobobe as ein running mate.[21]
