James Kojo Obeng (we dem born on 28 April 1925) be Ghanaian politician plus teacher. He serve as de member of parliament for de Amansie constituency from 1965 till 1966.
Biography
[edit | edit source]Obeng dem born am for Effiduase insyd Ashanti Region for Gold Coast (wey now be Ghana).[1] He start ein elementary school for Asokore Methodist Central School for January 1932.[1] After some time, he turn Pupil teacher for two years before he enter Wesley College of Education, Kumasi for 1944, wey he take get ein Teachers' Certificate 'A' for 1947.[1]
Obeng go back teach for Asokore Methodist Central School for five years before dem transfer am go Hwidiem Ahafo Methodist School, where he be headmaster for eight years.[1][2] Later, he be Senior teacher for Effiduasi Methodist Middle School District.[2]
Obeng turn chairman for de Convention People's Party (CPP) branch for Sekyere East.[2] For June 1965, he win seat be member of parliament for Amansie constituency under CPP ticket.[3] He serve till 24 February 1966, when Nkrumah ein government fall. Some of ein hobbies be play volleyball, do gardening plus write letters.[2]
