Joseph Kingsley Baffour-Senkyire be Ghanaian academic, politician den diplomat. He be member of parliament for Duayaw-Nkwanta constituency from 1965 go 1966. He sana serve as Ghana ein Ambassador to United States of America from 1979 go 1981.

Early life den education

Dem born Baffuor-Senkyire on 19 March 1928. He be second kiddies of Nana Afua Birago, de late queen mother of Duayaw Nkwanta Traditional Area, den Opanin Kwame Adiyea wey come from Adugyama. He get ein early education for Bechem Catholic Boys School, den go St. Augustine's College, Cape Coast from 1943 till 1948 wey he obtain Cambridge School Certificate. Insyd 1958, he win Government Scholarship go study for Purdue University for America. There, he study Agriculture for both ein Bachelor's den Master's degrees from 1956 go 1962. Baffuor-Senkyire later go back Purdue University pursue doctorate degree in Agriculture, den dem award am de degree for 1971. For 1979, Purdue University award am honorary Doctor of Letters degree.

Career

Academia den civil service

After he finish ein secondary education, Baffuor-Senkyire teach for Government School wey dey Asem, Kumasi before he join civil service. From 1954 go 1956, he work for Information Service Department (wey now be Ghana Broadcasting Corporation).

After he complete ein studies for United States of America, he come back Ghana for 1962 den join de teaching staff for University of Science and Technology (now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology). There, he work as lecturer for Animal Husbandry, den for 1977, dem promote am to Senior Lecturer.

After dem overthrow de Limann government on 31 December 1981, Baffuor-Senkyire return go ein alma mater, Purdue University, as visiting professor for de Department of Agricultural Economics under two-year contract. He come back Ghana for 1986 den rejoin de Faculty of Agriculture for University of Science and Technology. He retire for 1988.

Politics den foreign service

Baffuor-Senkyire get elect into parliament to represent Duayaw Nkwanta constituency under de ticket of Convention People's Party (CPP) for 1965. He serve for dis position till 24 February 1966 wey Nkrumah ein government get overthrown.

When de Third Republic start for 1979, Baffuor-Senkyire get appointment as Ghana ein Ambassador to United States of America. He hold dis position till 31 December 1981 wey dem overthrow de Limann government.

Ein life matter den death

After he retire, Baffuor-Senkyire start funeral undertaker ein business. He fall sick on 5 February 1999 den dem admit am for Bomso Clinic insyd Kumasi. He die on 8 February 1999. He lef behind ein wife, Charlotte Baffuor-Senkyire, plus five kiddies.
