Joyce Chepkoech Korir be Kenyan politician wey serve as Women Representative for Bomet County insyd 12th Parliament of Kenya from 2017 go 2022. She still be de first female mayor for Bomet Municipality, wey she hold dat position between 2007 den 2013.
Background den education
[edit | edit source]Korir attend Tendwet Primary School between 1987 den 1995.[1] Later she enroll for Mugango Secondary School from 1996 go 1999, before she join Kenya Institute of Legal Studies insyd 2004, wey she take get Certificate of Legal Studies.[1] She then collect Diploma insyd County Governance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology for 2014.[1]
Career
[edit | edit source]For 2007, Korir win election as Councillor for Singorwet Ward wey she still serve as Deputy Mayor.[1] By 2011, dem elect am as de first female Mayor for Bomet Municipality,[2] wey she remain Mayor til 2013.
Under Jubilee Party for 2017, Korir wey dat time be Bomet County Assembly Deputy Speaker contest for de office of Woman Representative insyd Kenya 12th Parliament, wey she win am, replace Cecilia Ng’etich.[3]
Personal life
