Dem appointed Abeba as de President for de Supreme Court of Djibouti in 1996.[2] She go become de Head of State if President Ismaël Omar Guelleh come sick or die.[3][4][5] Human rights wey dey Djibouti be Abeba ein major concern,she organised workshops with de state. Djiboutian League for Human Rights (LDDH) so say dem go look for solutions wey dey worry de country.[6]

Khadija Abeba sana becme de first female judge in 1977, den in 1996 she become de first woman in Djibouti to be President of de Court of Appeal.[2][7] Judges wey follow am to de Djiboutian judicial system be Chantal Clément, Fozia Hassan Bahdon den Naïba Djama.[8] Mannes sana know Abeba as de progressive legislator in Djibouti.[9] Whilst women have de right to vote in Djibouti dema political representation still be limited.[10] In 2003 dem appoint Hawa Ahmed Youssouf to de role of Secretary of State for de Promotion of Women and Family and Social Affairs.[11]
