Kofi Agyare
Kofi Agyare be a Ghanaian politician. Na he be de member of parliament for Akim Manso from 1965 to 1966.
Early life den education
[edit | edit source]Dem born Agyare born insyd 1913 insyd Abetifi, one town insyd Eastern Region of Ghana (then Gold Coast). He get ein education for Presby Junior School plus Presby Senior School all insyd Abetifi-Kwahu area from 1921 go 1931.[1]
Career den politics
[edit | edit source]After school he work as registrar insyd de Omanhene ein tribunal for Kwahu Abene from 1932 go 1933. For 1934 he move go Koforidua to work for Cadbury as station clerk. From 1936 go 1938, he be registrar for de Paramount Tribunal plus Buem State Council insyd Borada wey dey Volta Region. He work as licensed letter writer for Akim Oda wey be part of Western Akim District from 1939 go 1940. For 1941, he work for Akim Kotoku native court wey dey Akroso as registrar. While he dey work as registrar for de court, he help build de Akroso market plus de state school. For 1945 he be court clerk plus secretary of de Omanhene of Gomoa Assin Traditional Area, wey he station for Apam plus Winneba. For 1949, he become de first chairman of Convention People's Party branch for Winneba. For 1955, dem appoint am as member of de national food board. He serve de board for one year den for 1956, dem appoint am director of G. C. Match Coy. He serve insyd dat post for one year too. For 1957, he turn rural liaison officer of Ghana A.D.C. One year later, dem appoint am national loans supervisor for State Cocoa Marketing Board. He hold dat position from 1958 go 1965.[2] For 1965, he become Member of Parliament for Akim Manso constituency.[3] He be de Member of Parliament for de constituency till February 1966 when dem overthrow de Nkrumah government.
