Kofi Okyere-Agyekum (born 8 March 1958) be Ghanaian politician wey he be member of de Seventh Parliament for de Fourth Republic of Ghana. He represent Fanteakwa South Constituency for Eastern Region under de ticket of de New Patriotic Party (NPP).[1]

Early life den education

Na dem born Okyere-Agyekum for 8 March 1958, he komot from Osino, a town for Eastern Region insyd Ghana.[2] He go University of Ghana wey he get Bachelor of Science degree insyd Agricultural Economics for 1981.[2] Later, he attend Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) wey he get Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) insyd Finance for 2007.[2]

Politics

Okyere-Agyekum be member of de New Patriotic Party (NPP). For 2012, he contest for Fanteakwa South seat under NPP for de Sixth Parliament of de Fourth Republic wey he win. He later san represent de constituency for de Seventh den Eighth Parliament of de Fourth Republic of Ghana.[3]

2016 Election

For the 2016 Ghanaian general election, Agyekum contest for Fanteakwa South constituency under de New Patriotic Party (NPP) wey he win plus 11,274 votes, wey dey represent 60.79% of de total votes.

He beat Abigail Elorm Akwambea Mensah from National Democratic Congress (NDC) wey get 5,726 votes (30.88%), Godfried Mark Dankwah Nyarko from PPP wey get 1,256 votes (6.77%), Danso Okra Daniel (Independent) wey get 223 votes (1.20%), den Kwablah Isaac Tetteh from Convention People's Party (CPP) wey get 66 votes (0.36%).[4]

2020 election

For de 2020 Ghanaian general election, Agyekum san win as Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South under de New Patriotic Party (NPP). He get 10,565 votes, wey dey represent 49.09% of de total votes.[5]

He beat Gyan Stephen Ayisi (Independent Candidate) wey get 5,775 votes (26.83%), den Richard Fred Kwashie Junior from National Democratic Congress (NDC) wey get 5,181 votes (24.07%).[5][6]
