Kwafie Festival
Kwafie Festival be yearly festival wey de chiefs den people of Dormaa, Berekum den Nsoatre inside Bono Region dey celebrate. Dem dey do dis festival to remember their ancestors den also for purification sake. One of de most interesting activity for de festival be how dem dey burn big bonfire for de courtyard inside.[1]De people of Dormaa, Berekum den Nsoatre too dey celebrate am every November or December inside.[2][3][4][5]
Celebration
[edit | edit source]During de festival, visitors dey welcomed to share food den drinks. De people go wear dema traditional clothes den dem go do durbar of chiefs. Plus, dancing den drumming too dey inside.[6] De Kwafie Festival dey celebrated for Dormaa Ahenkro, Berekum, den Nsuatre inside de Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana to remember how de ancestors bring fire come de area, wey dem talk say e be de ancestors wey migrate come dis place long time ago. De celebration dey last about three days den e fit happen for either November, December, or January.[7]
