She start ein early education at de international school of Almere. Yohannes play youth soccer insyd de Netherlands wey she begin dey train weekly plus Ajax wen na she dey 13 years old.[1]

At age 15, Yohannes sign a three-year contract plus Ajax insyd April 2023, lasting thru June 2026.[1][2] On November 15, 2023, aged 16, she cam be de youngest player ever to start a UEFA Women's Champions League group stage match den de youngest American to play insyd de competition.[3][4] Ajax win 2–0 over Paris Saint-Germain.[5] Yohannes be named player of de match insyd Ajax ein 2–1 victory over AS Roma on January 30, 2024.[6]

Yohannes be of Eritrean descent. Ein maternal grandpoppie, Bokretsion Gebrehiwot, be a member of de Eritrea national football team.[20] Ein two older bros sanso play Dutch club soccer. Ein oldest bro Aethan play on de United States under-15 den under-17 national teams wey he play college soccer at Wake Forest University.[21] He currently dey on de under-21 team of FC Den Bosch insyd North Brabant.[22] Ein bro Jayden dey play give de under-21 team of SC Telstar insyd North Holland.[23]
