Mahafaly be a dialect of de Malagasy language[1][2] wey de Mahafaly people dey speak insyd de Atsimo-Andrefana region of southwestern Madagascar.[3]

Classification

Mahafaly dey belong to de Austronesian languages family under de Malayo-Polynesian languages branch, within de Barito languages group. E be classified as a Southern Malagasic dialect alongsyd Southern Sakalava,Tandroy, Vezo, Masikoro den Karimbola.[4]

Geographic distribution

Approximately 472,000 people dey speak Mahafaly insyd de arid southwest of Madagascar, mainly insyd de Atsimo-Andrefana region.
