Maher ibn Hamad ibn Muaiqel al-Muaiqly al-Balawi (Arabic: ماهر بن حمد بن معيقل المعيقلي البلوي; born 7 January 1969) be an Imam den preacher of de Grand Mosque of Mecca, Masjid al-Haram.[1]
Education
[edit | edit source]Al-Muaiqly graduate from de Teachers College insyd Madinah wer na he study mathematics wey he move to work insyd Makkah al-Mukarramah as a teacher. He then cam be a student guide at Prince Abdul Majeed School insyd Makkah. He dey hold a master's degree insyd 1425 AH insyd de jurisprudence of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal at de College of Shari'a at Umm al-Qura University wey he obtain a doctorate insyd interpretation. He dey work as an assistant professor insyd de Judicial Studies Department at de College of Judicial Studies and Regulations at Umm al-Qura University.[2] He dey hold de position of Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
Na de thesis be entitled: Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal Jurisprudence Issues according to the narration of Abd al-Malik al-Maimouni (collection den study). He obtain ein doctorate from Umm al-Qura University insyd de year of 1432 AH, wich be de research of de book (Tuhfat al-Nabih, Sharh al-Tanbih) on Borders den Districts (by Imam Shirazi insyd Shafi’i jurisprudence).[3]
He sanso obtain a doctorate thesis dem entitle The Prophet's Masterpiece in Explanation of the Warning to al-Zanklouni al-Shafi'i, a Study and research of the Chapter on Borders and the Judiciary. Na dem discuss de thesis insyd de King Abdul Aziz Hall. He obtain ein doctorate insyd jurisprudence on 28 Muharram 1434, de Hijri equivalent to 12 December 2012 Gregorian.[4]
Imam of Grand Mosque
[edit | edit source]He lead de sermon of al-Saadi Mosque insyd al-Awali district insyd Mecca Province. He assume de leadership of de prayer at de Prophet's Mosque during de Holy month of Ramadan insyd de years of 1426 AH den 1427 AH.[5] Den he lead de Tarawih den Tahajjud prayers at de Grand Mosque during de month of Ramadan insyd 1428 AH, wey na dem appoint am as an official Imam of de Grand Mosque insyd dat year to date.[6]
