Mbulelo Jonathan Magwala (dem born am 1984 or 1985) be South African politician wey dey serve as Permanent Delegate to de National Council of Provinces from Western Cape since 2023. As of October 2022, Magwala be de third Provincial Secretary for de Economic Freedom Fighters.
Early life
[edit | edit source]Magwala be pikin wey ein single mom, Nompazamo Magwala, born for George. Ein get one small bro, Sinethemba Magwala. Wen e still small, dem move go plenty towns—start from Middelburg, den go Pretoria, before dem reach Plettenberg Bay wey e take finish ein secondary school for Murray High School.[1]
Career
[edit | edit source]Insyd 2005, Magwala work as security guard for Pick n Pay before dem promote am make e be supervisor for PnP Precap Centre for George. E later work for Pioneer Foods as field marketer. E still be manager for Picardi Rebel store wey dey Thembalethu Square den later work as sales rep for Boland Wines. Before e enter politics, e be representative for Colven Associates.
Political career
[edit | edit source]Magwala start to dey inside politics for 2013 as field worker for Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) till 2014. That same 2014, dem elect am as branch chairperson for EFF inside Ward 11 for George Local Municipality.
Insyd 2016 municipal elections, dem make Magwala sub-regional convenor for EFF. Later, for 2018, dem appoint am as regional secretary for EFF Southern Cape region, wey e serve two terms for dat position.
Insyd October 2022, during de EFF provincial elective conference, Magwala win de post of provincial secretary.[2] Na de third person e be wey hold dat position.
Parliamentary career
[edit | edit source]Dem swear Magwala insyd as Permanent Delegate to de National Council of Provinces from Western Cape on 7 March 2023.[3]
