Mlamli Alfred Makhetha be South African politician wey serve as member for Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature. Before dat, he bin be de deputy provincial chairperson for de Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) insyd Eastern Cape. Before he take dat position, he serve as de provincial secretary for de party.
Political career
[edit | edit source]For de EFF ein provincial conference wey happun for October 2018, Mlamli Alfred Makhetha bin win de position as provincial secretary for de party.[1] For de 2019 election, dem elect am go Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.[2]
Later, insyd November 2022 during anoda provincial conference, Makhetha come win again, dis time as deputy provincial chairperson. But shortly afta dat, dem comot am from dat position and replace am plus Nokuthula Mlokoti. Dis change happun because de EFF War Council talk say dem need reconfigure de provincial leadership since no woman win any of de contested positions. EFF president Julius Malema express ein disappointment say de conference no elect any woman.[3] Makhetha later resign from de provincial legislature for February 2023.[4]
