Monica Kathina Juma CBS, EGH, MBS (born 26 September 1963) be Kenyan diplomat wey currently dey serve as National Security Advisor to President William Ruto.[1] She serve before as Cabinet Secretary for Defence insyd the cabinet of President Uhuru Kenyatta.[2][3]

Juma study for University of Nairobi where she do ein Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Arts for Government and Public Administration. She go University of Oxford for Certificate in Refugee Studies, and na there she get her PhD for Politics.

Diplomatic career

Juma get long career for diplomatic service. She don serve as Kenya’s concurrent ambassador to Ethiopia, Djibouti, African Union, de Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), den de United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), wey dey based for Addis Ababa.[4]

Juma serve as Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 2016 reach February 2018.[5]

She serve as Principal Secretary for State Department of Interior, insyd Ministry of Interior and also Coordination of National Government.

Before she serve for Ministry of Interior, Juma don serve as Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Defence already.[6][7]

For 23 May 2024, Juma be one of de guests wey dem invite for di state dinner wey U.S. President Joe Biden host in honor of President William Ruto for White House.[8]

She still be adjunct faculty member for African Centre for Strategic Studies, wey dey National Defense University for Washington, D.C., United States of America.
