Salzwedel Ernest "Motsoko" Pheko (13 November 1930 – 19 April 2024) be one South African lawyer, author, historian, theologian, academic plus politician.

Biography

Dem born Motsoko Pheko insyd one rich rural family for Lesotho on 13 November 1930,[1] but afta ein poppie plus mommie die sudden for 1930s, dem move go South Africa top. He plus ein brother dey raised by E. M. Moerane, wey be dem late momma ein sister. Since 1960, Motsoko Pheko dey member for Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC), plus he serve for plenty different positions like Organiser, Branch Chairperson, Country Representative plus Member of Parliament (MP). Pheko serve as PAC representative for United Nations both for New York plus Geneva, plus he work for UK and Zambia too. Pheko be PAC president for South Africa till 2008. Before dat, he be Deputy President for three cabinets from 1995 reach 2003. Dis be de longest time any man serve as PAC president. Sobukwe serve from 1959 to 1978, den Leballo from 1978 to 1986.

Pheko be de founder of Daystar University insyd Kenya, wey be de biggest liberal arts college insyd Africa.[2][3][4] He be founder plus Chairman insyd Tokoloho Development Association for South Africa, one trust wey dey promote research about African people demma indigenous knowledge before European colonisation come. Dem dey publish de results. Tokoloho mean “Freedom” for Sotho.

Pheko get B.A. degree from University of South Africa (UNISA), where he major for Political Science plus Systematic Theology, he read Sociology plus History too. Na UNISA honour am plus one archive wey keep plenty of ein own works.[5] Pheko get Bachelor of Law degree from University of Zambia, plus he get Master of Law degree for international law from University of London.

Pheko die insyd Johannesburg on 19 April 2024, as he be 93 years old.[6]
