Oheneba Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei (born 24 July 1982) be a Ghanaian politician wey na she be de member of parliament for Akropong Constituency insyd de Eastern Region.[1] She be a member of de New Patriotic Party den a former deputy minister of Trade & Industry of Ghana wey na she serve as a Deputy Minister of Information under de same government.[2][3][4][5]

[edit | edit source]Na dem born Adjei for 24 July 1982 to Nana Osae Nyampong IV den Mrs. Aforo Asiamah-Adjei insyd Akropong, Eastern Region. She get ein basic den senior school education for Alsyd Academy den St Roses Senior High School respectively. She dey hold a bachelor's degree insyd psychology from de University of Ghana den a master's degree insyd Logistics den Supply Chain from de Exter University insyd United Kingdom.[2][6][7] She further get ein master's degree insyd Peace den Security for de Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC).[8]

[edit | edit source]Na Adjei be de managing director for Bekleen Limited from 2007 to 2016 den Pongas Limited from 2007 to 2015.[9]
Politics
[edit | edit source]Adjei be a member of de New Patriotic Party.[10] Na she be de Member of Parliament for de Akropong Constituency insyd de Eastern Region of Ghana from 2017 to 2025.[1][11]
2016 election
[edit | edit source]Insyd de 2016 Ghanaian general election, na she win de Akropong/Akuapem North Constituency parliamentary seat plus 26,655 votes wey dey make 62.3% of de total votes cast whilst de NDC parliamentary candidate Yaw Appiah-Kubi get 6,949 votes wey dey make 16.8% of de total votes cast, na an Independent parliamentary candidate Asiedu Ofei get 9,092 votes wey dey make 21.2% of de total votes cast den de CPP parliamentary candidate Gifty Mercy Anakwa get 102 votes wey dey make 0.2% of de total votes cast.[12]

[edit | edit source]Insyd de 2020 Ghanaian general election, she san win de Akropong/Akuapem North Constituency parliamentary seat plus 26,646 votes wey dey make 55.3% of de total votes cast whilst de NDC parliamentary candidate Justice Kotey Amasah get 10,505 votes wey dey make 21.8% of de total votes cast,[13] an Independent parliamentary candidate Adjei Twumasi William Kwabena get 10,444 votes wey dey make 21.7% of de total votes cast, de PNC parliamentary candidate Desmond Twumasi Ntow get 421 votes wey dey make 0.9% of de total votes cast den de CPP parliamentary candidate Gifty Mercy Anakwa get 146 votes wey dey make 0.3% of de total votes cast.[14]

[edit | edit source]Prior to de up coming 2024 election, na Nana Ama Dokua make a declaration insyd December 2023, ein intention make she cross constituency as na she intend make she aspire for de parliamentary seat of Okaikwei North Constituency insyd de Greater Accra Region. Na dem file a petition against am by Kingsley Anyamasah during de organized voter registration exhibition by de Electoral Commission of Ghana, wich na dem question de case of whether Nana Ama Dokua be eligible make she vote insyd Okaikwei North. Na dem rule de case for ein favour as court dismiss de petition wey dey challenge ein eligibility make she vote insyd Okaikwei North.[15]

Insyd May 2022, Adjei donate an amount of GHc30,000 for de construction of de chief palace for Adawso.[18]
