Patrick Jérôme Achi (born 17 November 1955) be Ivorian politician wey serve as Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire from March 2021 to October 2023 insyd President Alassane Ouattara ein government.[1] He be member of de Rally of the Republicans (RDR). He study for Supélec plus Stanford University, den ein specialisation be engineering plus infrastructure. He too work as government spokesman for President Alassane Ouattara.[2]
Before dis, he be Secretary General of de Presidency from January 2017, before dem promote am to Minister of State, while e still dey serve as Executive Secretary of de National Council for Economic Policy wey dey in charge of overseeing plus executing de 2030 Strategic Plan den de 5-year government program "Côte d'Ivoire Solidaire 2021-2025", wey be responsibility he still hold as Prime Minister.[3]
On 13 April 2022, PM Achi resign,[4] plus ein government too, but President Ouattara reinstate am before dem remove am on 6 October 2023[5] as part of de dissolution of de Ivorian government. Achi officially resign again on 18 October 2023.

Achi hold Bachelor's degree in Physics from Université de Cocody for Abidjan, Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from École Supérieure d'Électricité de Paris (SUPELEC), plus Master of Science degree in Management from Stanford University, California.

[edit | edit source]Between 2010 and 2017, Achi be Minister of Economic Infrastructure for de governments of successive Prime Ministers Guillaume Soro (2010–2012), Jeannot Ahoussou-Kouadio (2012) plus Daniel Kablan Duncan (2012–2017).[7]
Dem appoint Achi as acting Prime Minister on 8 March 2021 make e take over de duties of Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko, wey dem hospitalize. Bakayoko die two days later. On 26 March 2021, President Ouattara appoint Achi officially as Prime Minister. For dis role inside, e turn key figure for discussions wey dem dey do to solve major power generation shortage wey cause light issues for urban areas for some weeks.[8]
On 13 April 2022, he plus ein government resign. On 19 April, President Ouattara reappoint am as Prime Minister but dis time with cabinet reshuffle plus formation of second government.[9]
Ouattara remove Achi from ein position on 6 October 2023 den dissolve ein government. Achi officially resign on 18 October same year.[10]
After e lef government, Achi devote ein time to ein role as President of de Regional Council of La Mé. Dem first appoint am as President of de Regional Council of La Mé for 2013.[11]
