Paul Edward Affum Okwabi be a Ghanaian pharmacist den politician. He be de member of parliament for de Guan constituency from 1965 to 1966.
Early life den education
[edit | edit source]Dem born Okwabi on 7 March 1916 for Akim Akroso near Akim Oda insyd Eastern Region of Ghana (den be Gold Coast).[1] He do ein primary school for Accra Grammar School from 1925 to 1926, den go Accra St. Mary's School for 1927, plus Ashanti Effiduase Presbyterian Primary School from 1928 to 1929. He go Ashanti Mampong Presbyterian Middle School from 1930 to 1933 den enroll for Accra Academy for ein secondary school from 1934 to 1940.[2] After he finish secondary school, he teach Arts small before he enter Government School of Pharmacy for 1941.[2] He plete ein studies for Government School of Pharmacy for 1944.[2]
Career den politics
[edit | edit source]After he finish ein studies for Accra Academy, he serve as Arts master for about one year before he enter Government School of Pharmacy. After he complete Government School of Pharmacy, he join Government work from 1944 to 1947. After dat, he open ein own practice for Koforidua. He become Chairman for Koforidua branch of Ghana Society for the Prevention of Tuberculosis, den member for Koforidua Town Development Committee.[3] He be member for Koforidua Hospital visiting committee plus chairman for Eastern Region branch of Ghana Society for the Blind and Rehabilitation.
Okwabi too serve as Lay Magistrate for Eastern Region Juvenile Court plus Chairman for amateur boxing referee/judge association for Eastern Region. Okwabi too serve as presbyter and chief adviser for Anum constituency branch of Convention People's Party (CPP). He become member of parliament for Guan constituency on top CPP ein ticket from June 1965 till 24 February 1966 when dem overthrow Nkrumah ein government.[4][5]
Ein life matter
[edit | edit source]Okwabi ein hobbies include say he dey play table tennis, boxing, dey watch movie, do gardening, plus research insyd drugs den herbs. Na he be de founder of de Pharmaceutical Drug Company wey he establish for 1961.[6][7]
