Paul Nii Teiko Tagoe be Ghanaian politician. For de first republic inside, he serve as minister of state den member of parliament. He be regional commissioner (Regional Minister) for Greater Accra Region, first parliamentary secretary, plus member of parliament for Ga Rural electoral district.[1]

Early life den education

Dem born Tagoe on 6 January 1914 for Accra. He start ein elementary school for Koforidua Methodist School. Later dem transfer am go Bishop School for Accra. From there, he join Government School, den after that Christ Church Grammar School. He do ein secondary education for Accra Academy.[2]

Career

After ein secondary school, Tagoe get work for O'Reilley Institute. He teach for some few years before he lef go train as nurse-dispenser. He work as nurse-dispenser for anoda few years before he join de Army. For de Army inside, dem attach am to de Royal Pay Corps. He stay for Army till 1947 wey demma group demobilize. Insyd 1948, Tagoe join Cocoa Marketing Board (Export Control Division). By 1952, he join Cocoa Purchasing Company. After three years for dat place, dem promote am to Regional Manager. But for 1956, de Cocoa Purchasing Company collapse sake of de Jibowu Commission, wey dem relieve Tagoe from ein post. Then for July 1960, dem appoint am Commercial Officer for Ghana Supply Commission, wey he hold dat position till 1963.[2]

Politics

During de political wahala for late 1940s, Tagoe join Convention People's Party (CPP) wey dem appoint am Secretary for de Accra Branch. For 1952, dem make am private secretary to de Minister of Commerce. He work for dat post for like 10 months before he join Cocoa Purchasing Company. After dem sack am from de Cocoa Purchasing Company for 1956, dem employ am as private secretary to de then Eastern Region Regional Commissioner, Emmanuel Humphrey Tettey Korboe. He hold dat position for around 10 months before dem make am assistant national organizer of CPP. Then for 1963, after Tawia Adamafio lose ein seat as MP for Ga Rural because of treason allegations, Tagoe take over as MP for Ga Rural electoral district.[3] For August 1964, dem appoint am Regional Commissioner for Greater Accra Region (Special Commissioner for Accra Rural).[4] By 1965, he get appointment as First Parliamentary Secretary. He serve for dis role till February 1966 when dem overthrow de Nkrumah government.

Tagoe marry Matilda Quacoo, wey be fishmonger, for 1939 but dem dissolve de marriage for 1957. Dem get four kiddies together. He marry ein second wife, Afua Amartey, dat same 1939, but dat marriage too dissolve for 1959. He born two kiddies plus de second wife. Insyd 1960, he marry Patience Omolora Davies, wey be teacher den business woman. Dem born seven kiddies together, wey na dem stay together till Patience die for 1989. Tagoe die two years later for 1991.[2]
