De Pertev Mehmet Paşa Mosque (Turkish: Pertev Paşa Camii), dem sanso know am as Yeni Cuma Cami (lit. 'New Friday Mosque'), be a mosque wey locate insyd de town of Izmit, insyd de province of Kocaeli, Turkey.[1][2][3]

Overview

Na Mimar Sinan wey design am wey dem plete am insyd de 16th-century Ottoman style, na dem build de mosque give Pertev Mehmed Paşa, an Ottoman vizier during de reigns of sultan Suleyman I den Selim II. Na dem fini de construction insyd 1579.[2][4]

De mosque be part of a larger Külliye complex wey include a madrasa, hammam, caravanserai, fountain, den a lower education school.[2] De mosque get a single domed structure wey de dome get 24 windows. Na de minaret be damaged during de 1999 İzmit earthquake.
