Lefu Peter Khoarai (born 8 March 1966) be a South African politician from de Free State. He represent de African National Congress (ANC) insyd de National Assembly from 2005 to 2019, serve de Free State constituency. Before dat, he serve briefly insyd de Free State Provincial Legislature from 2004 to 2005.
Early life den career
[edit | edit source]Dem born am on 8 March 1966,[1] Khoarai formerly be a youth activist insyd Rammolutsi, a township outside Viljoenskroon insyd former Orange Free State. He active insyd de Rammolutsi Youth Congress den later join de ANC Youth League.[2] After de end of apartheid, he serve as deputy secretary of de ANC ein branch insyd Rammolutsi den as a local councillor insyd Fezile Dabi; he sanso employ as a membership officer insyd de Free State ANC.[2]
Legislative career
[edit | edit source]Insyd de 2004 general election, Khoarai be elected to represent de ANC insyd de Free State Provincial Legislature, where he chair de Committee on Tourism den Environmental Affairs. He serve only a year insyd ein provincial seat: on 18 May 2005, he swear insyd de Free State caucus of de National Assembly, swap seats plus Neo Masithela.[3]
He be re-elected to full terms insyd de National Assembly insyd 2009 den 2014. He be assigned to de ANC ein constituency office insyd Viljoenskroon den serve on de Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements during de 26th Parliament.[2]
