She graduate from University of Ghana plus a bachelor's degree insyd marketing wey she later acquire both ein MPhil den PhD insyd marketing for University of Ghana Business School insyd 2013.[3][4]

[edit | edit source]Dr. Lovia begin ein career as an academic lecturer for University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). Dem appoint am as a lecturer insyd de Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship on 15 August, 2019.[4] She dey teach marketing den conduct research insyd digital marketing, entrepreneurship, den electronic learning. Insyd 2022, dem promote am to Senior lecturer for School of Marketing den Entrepreneurship department wey she sanso hold administrative roles as Communication Coordinator for de College of Humanities at de University of Ghana.[5] Insyd February 2025, dem promote Lovia to de rank of Associate Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, wey she cam be de first woman to attain professorship insyd marketing den entrepreneurship for University of Ghana.[6]
De full extent of Prof. Lovia ein research cover a multidisciplinary spectrum plus six core focus areas: Behavioural Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Fashion and Beauty Marketing, Artificial Intelligence den Entrepreneurship, Educational Technology and Learner Engagement, den Gender den Digital Platforms.[7] Ein contributions include de application of parasocial interaction theory insyd influencer marketing, cue utilization theory insyd corporate branding, den de development of original conceptual frameworks such as de LEARN Model, dem anchor insyd African symbolism, den de DEQ (Domain Knowledge, Ethical Acumen, den Query Capabilities) framework for integrating generative AI into education. She be a lead anaa corresponding author for de majority of ein scholarly outputs, wich include Scopus-indexed journal articles, book chapters, practical workbooks on SEM using AMOS den SPSS, den collaborative industry reports.
She currently dey serve as an Associate Editor for Humanities den Social Sciences Communications, a Springer Nature Journal.[8] She previously serve for Editorial Advisory Board of Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies (UK) wey dem invite am to join de editorial board of de Journal of Rural Business (University of West Alabama). She be Fellow of de Academy of Marketing Science wey dem publish ein research insyd Information Development, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Financial Services Marketing, International Journal of Customer Relationship Marketing and Management, Smart Learning Environments, den Journal of Educational Technology Systems. Dem recognize one of ein works on signalling theory insyd de International Journal of Bank Marketing insyd 2019.
Prof. Lovia Boateng be founder of de Women in Tertiary Education (WITE) Network, wey dedicate to supporting women insyd academia plus dema research, family, den career journeys. Ein vision for inclusive, technology-enabled, den ethically grounded education den entrepreneurship continue to shape policy, inspire students, den empower communities across Ghana den beyond.[3]
