Stephen Willie Yeboah
Stephen Willie Yeboah (born 26 October 1928) be Ghanaian politician. He serve as Regional Commissioner for Brong Ahafo Region, Ashanti Region, den Western Region. He san serve as Member of Parliament for Sunyani West constituency, den later for Dormaa constituency.
Early life den education
[edit | edit source]Dem born Yeboah on 26 October 1928 for Dormaa Akwamu insyd Brong Ahafo Region. He take ein elementary education for Dormaa Ahenkro insyd Brong Ahafo Region den Bekwai insyd Ashanti Region. After he get ein Standard 7 certificate, he continue go Elthanus Commercial Academy for Saltpond. For der, he study shorthand, typing, book-keeping den accountancy for two years.[1]
Career den politics
[edit | edit source]Insyd 1950, Stephen join de staff of ein former school, Elthanus Commercial Academy, den work there for two years. After he lef dat school, he join de teaching staff of Dormaa Ahenkro Commercial Secondary School. For 1953, he resign go join de inspectorate staff of de Cocoa Purchasing Company.[1]
Insyd 1954, Stephen contest for de Sunyani West seat den win.[2] He remain Member of Parliament until dem overthrow Nkrumah ein government insyd February 1966. On 22 May 1957, he get appointment as Parliamentary Secretary (Deputy Minister) to de Ministry of Agriculture. On 1 June 1959, he get appointment as Regional Commissioner (Regional Minister) for Brong Ahafo Region,[3] den for October 1963, he get appointment as Regional Commissioner for Ashanti Region.[4] He serve for dat position till 1965, when dem appoint am as Regional Commissioner for Western Region.[1][5]
