Insyd 2008, dem elect am go ZANU–PF Provincial Youth Executive for Mashonaland Central Province, den de next year, she get vote as secretary for gender den culture for de party ein National Youth Executive. After dat, she get elect again as deputy secretary for health den child care, still insyd de National Youth Executive. Insyd 2014, she lef de Youth League go join de Women's League, wey she become secretary for external relations under Grace Mugabe.[3]
Insyd de 2013 general election, Kanengoni-Malinga contest as ZANU–PF ein candidate for de National Assembly seat for Mazowe Central. She win am plus 10,823 votes (70%) wey beat Shepherd Mushonga from MDC–T wey get 3,998 votes den Zivanayi Chiweshe from MDC–N wey get 656 votes. After she enter Parliament, dem add am go President Robert Mugabe ein cabinet as Deputy Minister for Sports, Arts den Culture under Minister Andrew Langa.
