Tavio Ayao Tobias Amorin (20 November 1958 – 29 July 1992) be Togolese socialist politician. He be leader for de Pan-African Socialist Party, wey ein ideology take influence from people like Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah den Cheikh Anta Diop.

Dem born Amorin insyd Lomé.[1] He be member for de High Council of de Republic wey dem form insyd 1991 as de transitional legislature,[2] den later he come be President for political plus human rights affairs. He sana be Permanent Secretary for de Coordination of de democratic opposition for Togo (CODII for French).[1]

As he dey talk plain against President Gnassingbé Eyadéma ein dictatorship rule, two men wey people believe say dem be security force agents shoot am for street insyd Lomé on 23 July 1992. Dem first carry am go hospital for town, but later dem move am go Paris hospital as ein condition be serious. He die for Paris some few days after on 29 July.[1] He be 33 years old.

Tavio Ayao Tobias Amorin, wey dem born am on 20 November 1958 insyd Lomé, start ein education for Catholic School of Koketime for primary level, den continue ein secondary school for College Saint-Joseph for Lomé, wey he complete am plus science certificate for 1977. He then go France wey he get DEUG for Sciences before he move into computer studies. Insyd University of Orsay, he specialize for industrial systems.[3]

After he work some years insyd France as Consultant for business organisation, Tavio Amorin relocate go Ivory Coast. Na through general amnesty wey de people plus street pressure bring insyd 1991, na so de young leader fit come back Togo make he join political life for de new democracy movement. He enter de political struggle wey he form de Pan-African Socialist Party (PSP) plus some adventurous young men like Jean-Claude Edoh Ayanou, me Wakilou Maurice Gligli, Francis Agbagli. Because of ein energy plus originality, he turn de main attraction for de National Conference wey happen July–August 1991 for Fazao room insyd Lomé.

Death

On Thursday, July 23, 1992, insyd Tokoin-Gbonvie, one area insyd Lomé wey be de capital of Togo, Togolese Police attack Tavio Amorin. He get serious injury wey make dem rush am go hospital insyd Paris, but he die there on July 29, 1992. Dem bury am for de beach cemetery for Lomé. Up till now, nobody ever take any action against de people wey kill am.[4]
