Template:ISBN

Dis template dey create one simple, standard link from one International Standard Book Number (ISBN). Di ISBN dey show using plenty of di same code wey dey render |ISBN= for Citation Style 1 and Template:Cs2 templates, but dis template fit show multiple ISBNs.

Usage

Dis template accept these parameters:

|idn= – one ISBN identifier; di |idn= parameter name no compulsory, but e dey recommended for clarity when di template get many ISBNs.

|link= – accept only one value no; use am when di 'ISBN' prefix for di display no suppose get link.

|plainlink= – accept only one value yes; e remove di 'ISBN' prefix for di display.

|leadout= – define di joining word between di last two identifiers for di displayed list; di default be , .

Di basic form be:

{{ISBN|0-7475-3269-9}} → ISBN 0-7475-3269-9

For multiple ISBNs:

{{ISBN|978-1-4133-0454-1|978-1-4133-0454-1|978-1-4133-0454-1}} → ISBN 978-1-4133-0454-1, 978-1-4133-0454-1, 978-1-4133-0454-1

To remove di link from di prefix:

{{ISBN|0-7475-3269-9|link=no}} → ISBN 0-7475-3269-9

To remove di prefix completely:

{{ISBN|0-7475-3269-9|plainlink=yes}} → 0-7475-3269-9

To use and between di last two identifiers for di displayed list:

{{ISBN|978-1-4133-0454-1|978-1-4133-0454-1|978-1-4133-0454-1|leadout=and}} → ISBN 978-1-4133-0454-1, 978-1-4133-0454-1 and 978-1-4133-0454-1

If dis template show error message for one valid (working) ISBN, use di accept-as-written markup ((..)) to stop di error message.

{{ISBN|((1-4133-0451-0))}} → ISBN ((1-4133-0451-0))

Tracking categories

• Category:Ignored ISBN errors – Template:Color category for Template:Tld templates wey dey use di accept-as-written markup ((..)) to stop error messages – shared with {{ISBN}}

• Category:Pages with ISBN errors – Template:Color category for Template:Tld templates wey show error message.

Because dis template dey use di same code as cs1|2 templates, Template:Color and Template:Color visibility dey controlled di same way. See Template:Slink.
