Vlorë (/ˈvlɔːrə/ VLOR-ə; Albanian definite form: Vlora) be de third most populous city of Albania den seat of Vlorë County den Vlorë Municipality. Located insyd southwestern Albania, Vlorë sprawls on de Bay of Vlorë den be surrounded by de foothills of de Ceraunian Mountains along de Albanian Adriatic den Ionian Sea Coasts. Substantial port activity insyd dis site occurred from at least de archaic period to de medieval period. It has been suggested dat a transfer of de ancient city from de site of Triport to de site of modern Vlorë occurred. De center of de modern city features archaeological remains dating from late antiquity.
