Volta River Authority (VRA) wey dey generate den supply electric power for Ghana. Dem still dey in charge to maintain de hydro power plant wey dey give de country light.[1]

Establishment

VRA start work through Volta River Development Act, Act 46 wey Republic of Ghana pass on 26 April 1961.[2]

De main work wey VRA dey do be to generate den supply electric power wey go meet Ghana ein needs. Dem still dey in charge to manage how Volta Lake affect de environment den de towns plus people wey dey live around de lake. VRA dey maintain national energy supply grid, wey even though dem start plus hydroelectric power, dem dey branch now into oda energy types like thermal energy.[2][3] De company dey represent Ghana for West African Power Pool.
