Wasawasa be a popular dish, wey dem dey chop insyd Dagbon den oda parts of Northern Ghana. Dem sanso dey chop am insyd sam West African countries, such as Burkina Faso, Benin, Nigeria etc. Dem dey make am from dried yam peelings dem call jaling, wich na dem grind am into flour den steamed. Dem mostly dey chop wasawasa plus spicy sauces wey dem samtimes garnish am plus vegetables, accompanied plus shea butter anaa raw groundnut oil den fried fish.[1] Dem sam times dey serve wasawasa plus beans, pasta, den salad.[2]

Der be a variety of ingredients dem fi be used take prepare Wasawasa dish though dese ingredients fi be dependent on de choices of de beneficiaries buh de most common anaa primary ingredients dey include; yam flour, salt, freshly ground pepper, water for steaming, onions, groundnut anaa shea butter oil.[1][3] Dem dey cook am plus a chamber pot den steamed til e be ready. E usually dey turn black after cooking.
